From March 24 to 27, Bridgewater Consulting Group had the opportunity to participate in one of the energy sector’s most influential gatherings. With over 18,100 professionals from 87 countries and all 50 states in attendance, DistribuTECH 2025 brought together the industry’s sharpest minds to dig into major topics, from distribution and grid-edge technologies to transmission, energy trading, and infrastructure modernization.

The atmosphere in Dallas was one of momentum and purpose. The focus shifted from theory to real-world solutions. Conversations centered around key issues such as grid modernization, the practical integration of AI, and the pressing need for decarbonization.

In collaboration with Smart Energy Water, we co-hosted the VIP Dinner, fostering meaningful conversations to address industry challenges and explore actionable solutions. Around the table, utility leaders and technology partners spoke honestly about the realities they face: the complexities of adopting AI, the pressures of ensuring a stable grid, and the shifting expectations of customers in an increasingly digital world. Each viewpoint came from a different angle, and that variety made the discussion both practical and insightful.
